IP whitelisting field notes
IP whitelisting authenticates your requests by your own address instead of credentials. It leaks no credentials, and it stops working the moment your own address changes. Keep three fields with every evaluation: whether the provider documents whitelisting at all, what your own address stability looks like over a week, and what happens to authenticated jobs the day your address rotates.
The discipline this page follows: a published feature answers what the provider documents, and your own address log answers what your setup does. The two belong in one record, never blended.
Provider coverage of IP whitelisting versus username-and-password authentication, with read dates, is tracked on Proxy Compare's IP whitelisting guide. This page structures the evaluation. It does not recommend a provider.
